The Caves website was realised during the Digital Design workshop I attended, organised by the Vakalo College of art and design.

Caves is 5-star hotel on the Greek island of Santorini and consists of eight unique suites, each of them offering unobstructed views of the caldera and exuding serenity and luxury.

According to the brief, the objective is predominantly to extend the duration of the holiday season, potentially creating a year-round destination, and to start building the hotel’s digital presence with the aim of increasing the hotel’s visibility and boosting reservations.

The target audience are people of high economic status between the ages of 33 and 44, preferably couples. These are affluent individuals who typically have high-profile jobs, and work in cluttered and stressful spaces, both visually and acoustically. They seek moments of relaxation and they invariably opt for upscale services and accommodations.

I wanted to create an antithesis between the environment in which they live and work and the Cycladic paradise that awaits them in Caves.

With this in mind, the website was meant to give visitors a glimpse of the luxury and serenity they will encounter upon arrival. Thus I opted for a simple and minimal design with curated photos of the rooms but also introductory videos  on every page which will offer live views from the hotel in every season. Hence the tagline “This blue. Year round”.

For the booking system, I opted for a fast and user-friendly three-step approach, in order to optimise the reservation process and help the user book their suite securely and seamlessly.

The design maintains the same minimal aesthetics with a colour discrepancy in the header and footer, which aims to signal to the user that they are now in the booking section.
